Help with Gardens and Homes Direct

Having trouble with the shopping basket? Gardens and Homes Direct uses 'cookies', these allow us to store information about your order on your computer. We do NOT store any sensitive information like credit card details. Just basic details about your order, for instance the contents of your shopping basket etc. If your having trouble reaching our checkout page it could mean your cookies have become corrupted (this can happen quite often and is easily fixed). How do I use Gardens & Homes Direct website?
*Navigation* Most shoppers that access our website will enter onto the homepage, this is a great place to start as we regularly show our latest deals and discounts on here. Also there are several product recommendations and a short list of our top selling products.	Homepage
Catalogue Menu	Navigating the site is easy with our simply menu structure (shown left). Each of the sections of our store are represented, you can access any of these sections by simply clicking on the name. This menu is on every page of our site. At the top of this page there is another menu which is intended to direct you to our information pages such as our stores Terms and Conditions and Delivery Info etc. Also on this menu is a Home button, pressing this at any time will return you to the homepage. This menu is displayed on each page of the site.
The green writing in the top right of the site represents your shopping basket. Clicking on My Account will display your account information and show information regarding your previous orders. View basket will display the contents of your shopping basket and allow you to modify quantities etc. Check out, If your have previously registered and are signed in this will take you directly to the checkout, otherwise you will be directed to a registration form where you can enter your details. When clicking on a section name on the right hand side menu the appropriate section of products will be displayed with titles, small photo and price, if you wish to get more info on a product simply click more info. Once more info has been clicked the relevant product page will be loaded displaying a large photo of the product along with description, price, etc.
*Buying* On each product page, along with photo, description, and price there is a *Add to Basket* button, sometimes there are two! If there are more than one add to basket buttons there will be some text next to the buttons that briefly describes the difference. In the example to the right, the two buttons represent two different colour options for the product. In this case Black and Grey.	Add to Basket Buttons
	Once the Add to Basket button has been clicked, you will be asked to confirm your selection and can, if you wish, change the quantity. If you are happy with your selection and quantity click *Add to Basket* button, you now have added an item to your basket! Now you can either *continue shopping, or Go to Checkout*.
*Check out / Order Confirmation* On clicking *Go to checkout* the Login Screen will be displayed, If you have shopped with us before you can enter your email address and password and continue straight to the checkout, otherwise you will need to register. To register simply fill in the form displayed on the login screen and you will be taken to the checkout. The check out screen, shown left, displays all the items in your basket along with the total cost of the order including any shipping costs and discounts etc. Check that the Delivery Address is correct, if not click the *Change Delivery Address* button. Check the amounts are correct and then click either *Confirm Order* or again you can *Continue Shopping. Clicking Confirm Order* will give you a choice of *Paying Online* or *Pay by Post, choose the option which best suits you, but paying by post can cause delays in shipping your goods as we have to wait to receive the cheque in the post and then wait to clear the funds. Clicking Pay Online* will display the HSBC Secure Epayments page which is used to process your credit card details in a secure environment.
On the first HSBC page read through the text and click continue in the bottom right hand corner, then you will be prompted for your card details, simply enter your card details ensuring accuracy and click *continue*. HSBC will then check your card details and either Accept the payment or decline the card. If your card is declined go back and ensure you entered your details correctly, if you still have trouble call our freephone number and we will try our utmost to help.
